The Craigmillar Business Incubator Project (CBIP) started in June 2001, to provide comprehensive advice and support to new start and existing businesses, which traditionally have not approached mainstream business advice services. As part of the CBIP support we offer the 'Business Grant Fund' which allows us to make awards of up to £5000 to businesses subject to conditions. The total fund amounts to £90,000 annually allowing us to support around 50 businesses with direct grant support. The total project size is over £1 m for the period 2004/5. The project is funded by SIP, ERDF & partners.
